Born into a South American household in Washington DC, Gustavo began playing music as a toddler. He grew up listening to Vallenato and Cumbia and traveling to his father's hometown of Cartagena, Colombia, close to the birthplace of Vallenato. Now an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and sound engineer, Gustavo brings his Colombian roots to Austin, finding a perfect home in Cerronato for his authentic vocals, guacharaca rhythm and guitar.
